This may explain Obama and Napolitano’s protective stance re Congressional hearings about the Fort Hood attack and his refusal to label Nadal Hassan a terrorist.

Has this been reported? Maybe I missed it…but it seems to me that this should be headline news.

By definition, this Homeland Security Transition Team was set up prior to the new president’s assuming office, so President Obama is not responsible for its genesis. Of concern, though is how did a man with Nidal Hasan’s background end up on the Homeland Security Transition Team at all?
We know that the FBI had access to his e-mails with a known terrorist in Yemen and we know of Hasan’s outspoken pro-Islamic sentiments and his equally outspoken anti-war bias. Why was he placed on that board with that history? Was it a poorly documented background check or was his history ignored in the name of political correctness Surely, if it was so vital to include a Muslim on the team, a better candidate could have been located.
Finally, I found this link to Nadal Hasan on a blog. Surely the media and certainly the government knew about Nadal Hasan’s participation on the Homeland Security Transition Team earlier. Why the silence? Is this why the president urged Congress to hold off its investigation?
How many other subversives are on important government teams and committees?
