Someone here said Sen. Reid is confused, I assume unstable by that remark, but it looks like Reid’s not too confused here in vote buying.
Oct. 20 (Bloomberg) — Nevada would get help with its Medicaid bills. The elderly in Florida and New York would receive additional Medicare benefits. And workers in so-called high-risk professions such as firefighting and construction would get a break on a new insurance tax. Those are provisions that Senate Democrats, including Majority Leader Harry Reid put in an $829 billion health-care bill to shield constituents from measures intended to pay for the biggest overhaul of the medical system in four decades. The result is the new policies may be unevenly administered, with some U.S. states getting preferential treatment, a possibility that has given Republican lawmakers ammunition to attack the legislation.

It’s well past the time when we should have stopped imagining, or pretending for the sake of political amity, that Nevada’s murmuring mannequin of the left and those like him have any interest in honest government or governance.
These bags of appetite like Reid, and the late Senator Kennedy know and recognize only two things: what they want, and that they would rather try and squeeze it out of the productive than to be productive themselves.
Politics is simply their method; and the client class their lever.
In Reid’s last election he resorted to subtrafuse to win. He declined to identify himself as a Democrat on his bill-boards, public mail, and handbills. His campaign emphasized experience and future expectations, but neglected to acknowledge his leadership role in the Democrat Party.
This time he might run against those evil Washington insiders, or even go so far as to claim he doesn’t know Nancy Pilosi.
ropelight: Running without advertising party affiliation is done all the time. If you were a Dem running in a red state, or a Repub running in a blue state, you would consider doing the same thing. Apparently you’ve never noticed.
You all on the R side have so much more going for you…

That’s a good one, blubonnet!
Dang, looked at the title and thought he meant Andy Reid!

After Sunday, it could go either way.

Looks like Harry wants to pit one state against the other so his bidding be done.Could be hard to tell the state left out, tough.
Perry informs me that, “Running without advertising party affiliation is done all the time.” Would that be sort of like a Stalinist running as a Democrat?
Of course, an arrogant gutter-snipe who never had an original thought might not notice. That goes for you too, blu. Can you guess my name?
Y’all will see the real Harry Reid when he campaigns to retain his seat next year.
For Harry, the end justifies the means.
He should join the Repub party! We need a new leader in the Senate.
In the House, we’re set!!

So now you’re saying Harry isn’t confused???? Is he, or isn’t he confused? Or is it just situational when convenient???
No one’s seen the real Harry Reid since he was the mob’s man on the Nevada Gaming Commission, not even when good ol’ Harry arranged to swap his nearly worthless desert scrub-land for prime federal parkland so his Real Estate developer sons could cash-in at the expense of endangered wildlife.
No, you won’t catch a glimpse of the real Harry Reid, not during the campaign anyway. All you’ll see is Harry’s milquetoast, Mr Peepers, persona. The real Harry Reid only shows his dark side when there’s a pile of money on the table and he can’t avoid the sunshine. Or, when it’s time to screw the taxpayers.
Have a look at the movie “Casino” and see if you can identify him. Fair warning, it’s a little tricky.
Yorkshire:“So now you’re saying Harry isn’t confused????”
You’re missing my point, Yorkshire. Harry Reid seems to me to be perpetually confused. On his campaign for the 2010 race, he indicates that he will pull out all the stops, meaning that dirty campaigning is in. I do not like Harry Reid, as I think he is tainted, I think he is arrogant, and I think he is a poor leader. I hope he gets primaried out of the race!

OK, I can agree there. Hairy Reed must go.
