At work, in the parking lot; he said that there are a lot of people trained in CPR and plenty of defibrillators around. He’s in Johns Hopkins, and scheduled for open heart surgery.
They shocked him five times, and he told me that apparently God turned him away at the pearly gates; he failed to mention if Satan had similarly pushed him away. He sounds pretty good for a guy who had a major heart attack.
Please give Art my best. He will be in my prayers.
I don’t care where you fall on Art’s commentary, but please remember him in your prayers.

Just got off the phone with Art. He had an extensive echo-cardiogram this morning, and is scheduled
to be cut up like a side of beeffor surgery tomorrow. He appreciates everybody’s good wishes and prayers for him, and says that he expects to be back tormenting liberals very soon.Best wishes and prayers are with Art!
Scary stuff… good to hear he’ll be alright though… get well, Art!

My father had the same surgery in the same hospital and if he comes out of it twice as fast as he did, it will be probably Sunday before he feels like a human again. And if I’m over my cold and hacking up fur balls, maybe I can get to see him Sunday.
