Things That Make You Go “Hrmmmmmmmm”

The title of my post is very Arseniooooooooooooooooooooo Haaaaaalllllllllllllllllllllll!!!!!!! From the Arsenio Hall Show from a recently bygone era.

And here we go . . .

1. ABC news bigshot is completely unaware of the ACORN/prostitute tapes (on a huge Chicago radio station).
2. BHO press spokesmodel is completely unaware of the 912 gathering in DC the day before it (the largest gathering ever) occurs.
3. ACORN claims “a series of isolated events” over new stuff and old stuff, still.
4. Maryland considering criminal charges of exposers, not of ACORN’s attempted complicitcy in an under-age, illegal-alien prostitution ring.
4a. Maryland ignoring ACORN and the particular HUD-sucking affiliate still in business after not renewing licenses.
5. Press ignoring fact Obama trained many ACORN before campaigning for President.
5a. Press ignoring fact Obama gave ACORN 800k out of his Presidential campaign coffers.
6. Democrat Party continually accuses GOP of racism despite facts being widely available (see my recent article covering this).
7. Official members of the “press” hearing an unspoken word (boy) and declaring that unspoken word proves racism.
8. House of Representatives focusing on “you lie” statement, to the great detriment of Obama’s in-office campaign speech to Congress.
9. Senate vote to cut off ACORN from taxpayer dollars gets seven votes against (to continue giving ACORN taxpayer dollars).
9a. Nine senators did not vote.
10. Liberals across the blogosphere focus on everything but ACORN’s attempted collusion in violating child abuse, prostitution, tax, immigration, income verification laws.

  1. John Hitchcock, so aside from your wingnuttery list of nothingness, you point is?

It is simply wrong and stupid to condemn a whole organization because of the behavior of a few.

Must I repeat this description of the ACORN organization? Yes, because it has yet to sink in to the likes of John Hitchcock.

ACORN’s priorities have included: better housing and wages for the poor, more community development investment from banks and governments, better public schools, and other social justice issues.[3] ACORN pursues these goals through demonstration, negotiation, lobbying for legislation, and voter participation.[3] ACORN is a non-profit, nonpartisan organization that typically champions liberal and progressive causes. It is made up of numerous legally distinct parts including local non-profits, a national lobbying organization, and the ACORN Housing Corporation.

ACORN has been the subject of public controversy and has been accused of actions including embezzlement, management fights, and voter registration fraud committed by its workers.[4][5]

You will find more information on ACORN right here!

  2. Why would anyone defend ACORN? From what I’ve seen on the news they should be indicted under RICO on just voter fraud alone. There is no excuse nor “mission statement” which excuses core corruption in my opinion. Further, once a “community organization” recieves taxpayers money it ceases to be “community” and begins being an arm of the government.

” ACORN is a non-profit, nonpartisan organization that typically champions liberal and progressive causes. ”

Now I ask you Perry, how can one be nonpartisan but champion partisan causes? Are you pissing on my head again and tellin’ me it’s raining? And how can said organization morally take tax money forced from conservatives and use it against them?

  3. Yes Parry, from your cited ACORN Wiki it says:

ACORN is a non-profit, nonpartisan organization that typically champions liberal and progressive causes

You can’t be non-partisan, yet champion only liberal and progressive cause. You want it both ways Perry and it is either one or the other.

  4. And what has happened to the Million Dollars that one of the Radtke brothers embezzled? Why is ACORN and the SEIU HQ in the same building in NOLA. Why is one Radtke brother the head of ACORN and the other the head of SEIU? Let’s discuss their connections to the old SDS, wethermen and Ayers.

  5. “and other social justice issues.”

What exactly is social justice? Who determines when it occurs? What effect does social justice have on individual liberty? Who are the social judges who rule on it?

I always thought social justice was “Equal treatment under law”. Is there more?

  6. JohnC.:
    “and other social justice issues.”

I always thought social justice was “Equal treatment under law”. Is there more?

When you look at ACORN, think Saul Alinsky, and Cloward-Piven. Their aim is to demand Social program after social program to overload governments at all levels. Think if all the tax money going into the programs would have gone into industry building instead in the private sector. Also, ACORN under the stimulus Bill is in line to get $8.5 BILLION. WHY?

And don’t forget BO was an ACORN Trainer of Community Organizers.

  7. “ACORN’s priorities have included: better housing and wages for the poor, more community development investment from banks and governments, better public schools,”

When has ACORN used its own money to buy a house for the poor? When have they contributed wages? Does getting banks to grant subprime loans which later default beneficial to the society? Do those at ACORN pay for vouchers for the poor to avail them of better schools for their kids?

The answer is none of the above. ACORN is interested in power, not social justice. They are interested in keeping the flow of tax dollars from those of us who earn the money to their constituents who don’t with a “cut off the top” for themselves and the croked politicians they have in their pocket.

  8. Don’t forget Yorkshire, BO, ACORN and Alinsky are all doing this for altruistic reasons. They all want to help he poor and achieve social justice. Puleeese!

  9. JohnC, you may disagree with ACORN’s agenda, and that’s fine. But please, don’t be an idiot. Of course they’re trying to help the poor and achieve social justice. People with good intentions can reasonably disagree, and if someone does something you don’t agree with that doesn’t make them part of some evil conspiracy to destroy the world.

  10. I think I have it now. Social justice for the left is: no one earns a dollar more than the poorest American. (except for Soros, Kos, movie stars, sports figures, politicians, union members, government employees, any Kennedy, insert your carve out here).

Furthermore, we should all work 5 months out of the year to pay taxes to pay for someone elses subprime mortgage, new car for their clunker, blu’s health care, to bail out failing companies and banks and to provide welfare and “support systems” for ACORN volunteers so they can demonstrate for MORE of our money at rallies in Washington while leaving enough cash left over to pay Alinsky and the politicians.

  11. Jeff, I do hope you are kidding. I didn’t say they were “part of some evil conspiracy to destroy the world.” I said they are a criminal organization. They are out to steal money from anyone and everyone who earns it by intimidation, bribery, extortion, litigation, demonstration and general agitation. Kinda like the old Mafia. But without a code of conduct.

  12. Just as I was typing this the DOJ and FBI announced they are investigating ACORN as “A criminal enterprise”. Nuff said, Jeff?

  13. Also Jeff. I don’t think I’m being an idiot by objecting to my tax money being used against my beliefs. If they use their OWN money, no problem. Just not mine thank you. Now I have to leave for my club as we are preparing a clam bake for the old geezers on Saturday. Since I’m getting, preparing and serving the food I need to organize the club and get one of my managers to fill in at my own restaurant (at my expense). Yes, charity out of our OWN pocket! That’s how it’s done.

CAUTION! Pho. I will be drinking at the club today. I will not blog latter as it may offend you or blu. You are welcome. (I’ll try not to get “Hammered”.

  14. JohnC., taxation is not stealing. I can understand your objections to it, but those who disagree are not trying to steal from you, and they are not criminal enterprises for advocating programs that will require higher taxes. If you’re just being rhetorical, tone it down a bit and address ACORN on actual factual/policy grounds. If not, do us all a favor and keep the unfounded accusations to yourself.

  15. 2. BHO press spokesmodel is completely unaware of the 912 gathering in DC the day before it (the largest gathering ever) occurs.

60-75,000 is not the largest march ever in Washington, John.

    10. Liberals across the blogosphere focus on everything but ACORN’s attempted collusion in violating child abuse, prostitution, tax, immigration, income verification laws.

This “collusion” would be a half-assed sting being run four times before a pair of ACORN volunteers went along with or simply just humoured the actors, after which they were promptly fired by ACORN?

Allow me to suggest a response to your comments: the things you say are happenign are either not happening, or massive distortions with much much less credibility that blu’s birther comments, which is why sane people ignore you.

The wingnuts have not only been crying wolf, but jumping up and down, weeping, and screaming themselves blue about wolves while pointing at ducks, cats, and the very occasional poodle.

  16. “JohnC., taxation is not stealing.” Jeff, darling, I never said it was. I said:”They are out to steal money from anyone and everyone who earns it by intimidation, bribery, extortion, litigation, demonstration and general agitation. Kinda like the old Mafia. But without a code of conduct.”

NO reference to taxation as stealing. Try and keep focused. These are not accusations, they are observations. If you don’t see them please don’t blame me for your blindness.

  17. “It is simply wrong and stupid to condemn a whole organization because of the behavior of a few.”

It’s just a few smashing the windows of Jewish owned shops …

Interesting. If it turns our to be an accurate report it will be fun to watch the lefties squeal.

Liberals are like people with stale breath talking into your face at a party. You try backing away from them or offering them gum, but then they just start whimpering. ” Ann Coulter

  19. “It is simply wrong and stupid to condemn a whole organization because of the behavior of a few.”

Yes it is if you’re talking about the Boy Scouts or The Salvation Army. But if it’s an organization which bribes politicians, extorts companies, fixes elections, lies about voter resistrations, entices tax fraud and encourages minors in prostitution I don’t think that view is prudent.

  20. The stench from some rotting ACORNs was too much for all but the most corrupt Democrats in Congress and a lot of the DemocRATS seemed to have abandoned ship as the inherent nastiness of the group came to light as the result of a clever ‘sting’.

It remains to be seen if the whistle-blowers will be prosecuted by the thug-hugging Patricia Jessamy in MobTown. Her use of a law that was crafted to protect corruption will be another indicator of how poorly she serves the law-abiding residents of Baltimore. Then again, such additional proof is akin to carrying calories to King Farouk.
