“Just a Bill” Updated for 2009
Mr Lynch also did the redesign work on CSPT late last year. He’s a good guy. If you need WordPress blog help, his rates are reasonable, and he is very diligent.

The House didn’t read the Stimulus Bill either. I guess there were big words and strange concepts to master. The energy tax and trade bill was as thick as Ayn Rand’s Atlas Shrugged. I’m sure that can be read in three hours. I’ve tried twice now.
We tend to send hacks to Congress. Not all of them, just what seems to be a majority. This is particularly true of Democrats but a lot of Republicans are as guilty.
Your hack has no real job other than a stint of playing at the law or holding some government position that may be little more than a sinecure.
Your hack may be adept at climbing the greasy pole of politics and be gifted in special ways. He or she may be adept at remembering names and faces and seen as responsive. Your hack may be great at working a crowd.
However, your hack seldom reads the bills he signs. Why should he care about what is in the measure? The constituents have to pay the tab while most elected officials can give themselves and their friends raises.
Serving the public is often the act of servicing he public. There is more than a subtle difference.
