Holder is your typical Leftist in that he epitomizes the thug-hugger/gun grabber nexus.
His role in the pardon for super-swindler Marc Rich should tell it all.
The recent action against the prosecutorial misconduct in the matter of the Alaska Senator Stevens may have a powerful subtext that may soon play out. The Senator’s crimes did not involve payoffs in the form that snared Representative Cunningham. We might also ask if a Washington jury would ever convict ‘Cold Cash’ Jefferson on far greater evidence of criminal behavior.
Yet by letting a Republican off of the hook, Holder may well have more ‘wiggle room’ with high-powered crooks such as Blagojevich and Rezko. Given their political proximity to Obama, their talking could be toxic for the President and his gang. With the slimy Rahm Emmanuel in his powerful role, we could see some very dirty games being played.
Getting Stevens of of the hook at this late stage of his life comes at no political risk to the Dems. He is out of office and not likely to may a return.
