NAACP Irrelevant, Hypocritical

From Howard Portnoy:

The NAACP Has “No Comment” on Racist Remarks Leveled at Clarence Thomas

The NAACP has become increasingly irrelevant in recent years, by refusing, for example, to condemn overtly racist remarks by members of the New Black Panther party.

Now the organization can claim the additional distinction of being hypocritical. It has refused to address racially charged comments leveled at black Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas by liberal protesters last month.

As they say, read the rest of it. Rush Limbaugh rightly calls the NAACP the “NAALCP” with the “L” representing “liberal” because that organization turns a blind eye toward the racially charged violent outbursts from liberals targeted at conservatives of color.

  1. Let’s see how the NAALCP responds to calls for Justice Thomas to recuse himself from the ObamaCare case because his wife works for the Heritage Foundation. This ought to be good for another round of “high tech lynching.”

  2. “As they say, read the rest of it. Rush Limbaugh rightly calls the NAACP the “NAALCP” with the “L” representing “liberal” because that organization turns a blind eye toward the racially charged violent outbursts from liberals targeted at conservatives of color.”

Citation please! (If it is the Rushboy, he doesn’t count as a credible source, sorry!)

Moreover, John, both of your links go to the same site, and neither has anything on the NAACP or the Black Panthers!

Chalk up one more straw man for the roper!

[My thanks to ropelight for alerting me about my mistake]

  3. Perry, if you’re still trusted with editorial access, please correct your comment above, you used duplicate quotes.

  4. Citation please!

Um, just check out their “response” to the outbursts against Clarence Thomas — outbursts which were noted right here at CSPT. And that is one of many examples. The NAACP could care less about black conservatives. You know it and I know, or in your own parlance, “It’s common knowledge.”

  5. Similarly, the National Organization for Women (NOW) supports liberal causes over the interests of women. Conservative women need not apply for NOW’s support or protection.

For NOW it was more important to defend Bill Clinton than to protect Monica Lewinsky, or Paula Jones, or Juanita Broaddrick, or any of the dozens of other women Bill Clinton abused and Hillary Clinton slimmed when she was in charge of protecting her husband from assault and rape charges, or what the Clinton’s callously labeled “Bimbo Eruptions.”

  6. Perry claimed “both (my) links go to the same site” as if that was relevant in any way whatsoever. First of all, “both (my) links” are actually links to two different articles, but Perry chose to resort to a different characterization as some sort of wishy-washy attack, dependent on people being too lazy to actually do any research on Perry’s non-point themselves. Secondly, those are not my links. They are links provided by the author who I linked. As even a fool should be able to see, there are three links in my article, to three different articles, on two different sites.

Exactly, Hube. Perry does not have the moral integrity to even begin to try to debate honestly. That, or he’s abjectly incompetent.

  7. Hitch, there’s another possibility: he’s so in thrall to the dictates of an outworn creed the difference between honesty and incompetence recedes into the shadowy mists of irrelevant circumstance.
