Gaza Garbage Truck/Rocket Launcher

Captured Palestinian “garbage truck” from Gaza.

This is a captured Palestinian garbage truck from Gaza.
The truck is set up to fire 9 Kasem rockets and then drive off innocently.
The note pasted on the drivers door says In case of traffic violations, please contact The Palestinian Authority.
The Israelis have evidence of ambulances and emergency vehicles set up the same way.

Doesn’t it make you all “warm and fuzzy” that Obama just gave the Palestinians 400 million dollars from your taxes?

  1. York asked, “Doesn’t it make you all “warm and fuzzy” that Obama just gave the Palestinians 400 million dollars from your taxes?”

While that does offend me greatly, the notion did cross my mind that the New Black Panthers here might also be working on similar devices.

Paint the truck purple and it could easily pass for an SEIU vehicle all gassed up and ready for the Glenn Beck event scheduled for August at the Lincoln Memorial.

Or, it might come in handy to make sure white senior citizens don’t cause a disturbance at the polls in November. Or, to discourage TEA Party people from exercising their right to assemble in large groups to protest the blatant racism of the NAACP.

  2. They can hide weapons? They must all be exterminated!

Anyone who hides a weapon should be automatically considered guilty and exterminated!

Any nation with hidden weapons should be eradicated!

  3. Sorry, York, but this is an obvious propaganda fabrication, put together by Mossad, to demonize the poor, innocent, peace-loving Palestinian people!

The evidence is clear: when the Israelis withdrew from their illegal occupation of the Gaza Strip, the Palestinian people started to work very hard to rebuild their devastated homes and bombed-out shops, and in just a few short years have transformed Gaza — now that the Israelis have left it — into a paradise by the sea, with white sand beaches bringing in European tourists and happy Arabs turning the desert into a garden in which an abundance of produce is grown.

If only the Israelis would evacuate the West Bank, the hard-working Palestinians would be able to show the world their diligence and drive and transform the West Bank into a duplicate of their success story in Gaza, though the tourist beaches for the Europeans would, unfortunately, be lacking. Still, the West Bank part of the new Palestine would be able to earn much needed tourist euros due to their tremendous wealth in biblical architecture and ancient sites; the great care they have taken in maintaining places like the Church of the Nativity and Rachel’s Tomb demonstrates the great respect they have for the other Abrahamic religions, and the loving care they will show to visitors to their new land.

Oh darn, I guess you’re right. Why would the fun loving, playful Palastinians under Hamas rig up such a machine. Yeah, that crazy Mossad with their welding machines :-)

  5. Here’s a picture of the USS Liberty, limping home after 34 American sailors and Marines were murdered by a surprise attack by Israeli aircraft. This was the only major maritime incident in U.S. history not to be investigated by the U.S. Congress, too afraid of the Israeli lobby in American politics.

Doesn’t it make you all “warm and fuzzy” that you’ve given these people over $100 billion from you taxes – which is more than 250 times the amount Yorkshire is moaning about?

  6. They’re always in favor of money for killing strangers, Phoenician. What angers Yorkshire is the money is for humanitarian purposes.

  7. And I’d like to suggest, if that truck/rocket launcher bothers you that much… The number’s on the door. Give ‘em a call. Tell them how they’re driving!

  8. Man, Dana, you’re farther gone than I ever before realized!

If the American patriot, right wing militia owned such a vehicle, I’m quite sure you would label it ‘homeland security’!

  9. “And I’d like to suggest, if that truck/rocket launcher bothers you that much… The number’s on the door. Give ‘em a call. Tell them how they’re driving!”

    The Israelis can do that.

  10. cbmc: “wow you guys are way crazier than you were last time I checked in”

Amazing, isn’t it? They act like the farther to the right they move, the more likely they are to win in November. They assume the electorate have short memories, certainly incapable of going back 10 years. If that is true, then they deserve exactly what they get, more of the same negative impact on an already weakened economy.

Americans have a choice, to put back in place the same ideologues who got us into all this serious trouble, or to put in people who are interested in turning the economy around for ALL Americans.

  11. Americans have a choice, to put back in place the same ideologues who got us into all this serious trouble, or to put in people who are interested in turning the economy around for ALL Americans.

PLEASE stick to that sound bite until November. PLEASE!

  12. DNW:

“And I’d like to suggest, if that truck/rocket launcher bothers you that much… The number’s on the door. Give ‘em a call. Tell them how they’re driving!”

    The Israelis can do that.

Well, the Israelis went one better and captured it.

  13. Perry:
Americans have a choice, to put back in place the same ideologues who got us into all this serious trouble, or to put in people who are interested in turning the economy around for ALL Americans.

Well, Perry, what choice is there right now? Do we want the Progressives who are systematically taking over industries, not caring about the oil spill in the Gulf, having an Injustice Department that is suing a state because the Feds refuse to do their job, while turning their back on voter intimidation in Philly and gangster mob set on killing “crackers”? Is that the group you fervently support? Do you favor a race riot at this time? Do you favor lawbreakers that cross our borders with impunity? Do you favor a president who is systematically disarming the country? Do you favor people like Andy Stern who advocates violence to further union goals? Do you like deficits that have more than doubled in a year and a half? Everytime I turn around I see BO, Pelosi and Reid taking this country down a path we’ll never come back from. Do you want a dependent society that needs the Government to wipe their ass? If you want that, vote Progressive. It’s a fine system that hasn’t worked anywhere it has been tried. And to the rest of the responders here, I guess you want your ass wiped too.

  14. Well, Perry, what choice is there right now? Wow – cbmc is right. You guys are crazy.

If I was as anti-American as people seem to think I am, I’d wish you luck in taking over the country.

  15. In response to this comment, Perry wrote:

I hadn’t realized that using made one “far gone.” But, perhaps your response was what it was due to the fact you actually had no real argument against it.

I noted what the Palestinians could have done and should have done if they had really wanted their own homeland, in peace and freedom, if they had wanted to actually build something once they had an opportunity. Instead, the Palestinians seemed to see this as a great opportunity to use the land as a base from which to launch rockets against Israel, to capture the occasional Israeli soldier and hold him hostage, and basically continue to fight a war against the Israelis.

Perhaps you can tell me, Perry or Nang or cmbc, what you think the Palestinians should have done, were they interested in building a peaceful and prosperous homeland for themselves, once the Israelis evacuated the Gaza Strip and just gave it to them, free and clear. I freely admit: my inferior abilities keep me from understanding why the Palestinians would have chosen the course they have, if they are interested in peace and freedom and independence, side-by-side with Israel.

I eagerly await enlightenment on this serious question.

  16. Dana:
I eagerly await enlightenment on this serious question.

One thing can be said of the Palestinians, they never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity.

Wonder whatever hapeened to that new shiny Gaza IAP that Arafat opened a few years ago to stimulate Tourism on the white sandy beaches of GAZA?

  17. I noted what the Palestinians could have done and should have done if they had really wanted their own homeland, in peace and freedom, if they had wanted to actually build something once they had an opportunity.

You mean apart from having everything they build knocked to shit by Israeli bulldozers and tanks?

  18. Yo, brain-dead, when Israel walked out of Gaza and left it for the Palestinians, Israel left greenhouses and other resources fully functional and fully intact. PLO destroyed it, not Israel.

  19. The Phoenician naïvely wrote:

You mean apart from having everything they build knocked to shit by Israeli bulldozers and tanks?

Which wouldn’t happen if the Palestinians would simply stop shooting at the Israelis.

Israel wanted the Palestinians to succeed in building something positive in Gaza; it was the Gazans who decided to convert the whole place into a Lord of the Flies island.

  20. I have to get me one of those “garbage trucks”! It may come in handy if the Black Panthers try to stop the 912 march on Washington as they have promised!

  21. Which wouldn’t happen if the Palestinians would simply stop shooting at the Israelis.

    Bullshit.

You also need to read Article 53 of the Fourth Geneva Convention.

Not that you’d care whether what they’re doing is a international crime against humanity. After all, you believe Middle Eastern countries should have the right to murder American citizens in international waters with impunity.

  22. You have the option of lifting the needle, Yorkshire. Answer his question. Do you think Israel has the right to murder American citizens in international waters without consequence?

  23. Nangleator:
You have the option of lifting the needle, Yorkshire. Answer his question. Do you think Israel has the right to murder American citizens in international waters without consequence?

The bigger question is was it “murder” as in premeditated, or self defense?

  24. If a club-wielding man runs at an armed police officer, it’s self-defense.

If a club-wielding man runs at an armed man, the armed man better get a good lawyer.

If pirates fire on a ship in international waters, board the ship, and continue firing at passengers, I’m on the side of the club-wielding man. You should be, too.

  25. No, but my crude understanding of self-defense as a defense is that you better use an equivalent or lesser weapon. Club might be defined as a “dangerous” weapon. A gun sure as hell is “deadly.”

  26. But when the Israelis landed on the ship, they were using Paint Ball Guns as a way of crowd control, they were met with clubs and crowbars. Then the Israelis turned to lethal force to combat crowbars. Paint ball guns were useless at that point. I have crowbars in my house, I would say it’s a deadly weapon.

  27. “You have the option of lifting the needle, Yorkshire. Answer his question. Do you think Israel has the right to murder American citizens in international waters without consequence?”

Only murderous 1960′s leftists and members of middle eastern terrorist organizations.

And only as long as they don’t try billing us for the service.

  28. But when the Israelis landed on the ship, they were using Paint Ball Guns as a way of crowd control, they were met with clubs and crowbars.

Israelis opened fire before boarding Gaza flotilla, say released activists

Survivors of the Israeli assault on a flotilla carrying relief supplies to Gaza returned to Greece and Turkey today, giving the first eyewitness accounts of the raid in which at least 10 people died.

Arriving at Istanbul’s Ataturk airport with her one-year-old baby, Turkish activist Nilufer Cetin said Israeli troops opened fire before boarding the Turkish-flagged ferry Mavi Marmara, which was the scene of the worst clashes and all the fatalities. Israeli officials have said that the use of armed force began when its boarding party was attacked.

“It was extremely bad and very tough clashes took place. The Mavi Marmara is filled with blood,” said Cetin, whose husband is the Mavi Marmara’s chief engineer.

She told reporters that she and her child hid in the bathroom of their cabin during the confrontation. “The operation started immediately with firing. First it was warning shots, but when the Mavi Marmara wouldn’t stop these warnings turned into an attack,” she said.
    [...]
Kutlu Tiryaki was a captain of another vessel in the flotilla. “We continuously told them we did not have weapons, we came here to bring humanitarian help and not to fight,” he said.

“The attack on the Mavi Marmara came in an instant: they attacked it with 12 or 13 attack boats and also with commandos from helicopters. We heard the gunshots over our portable radio handsets, which we used to communicate with the Mavi Marmara, because our ship communication system was disrupted. There were three or four helicopters also used in the attack. We were told by Mavi Marmara their crew and civilians were being shot at and windows and doors were being broken by Israelis.”

Six Greek activists who returned to Athens accused Israeli commandos of using electric shocks during the raid.

Dimitris Gielalis, who had been aboard the Sfendoni, told reporters: “Suddenly from everywhere we saw inflatables coming at us, and within seconds fully equipped commandos came up on the boat. They came up and used plastic bullets, we had beatings, we had electric shocks, any method we can think of, they used.”

Michalis Grigoropoulos, who was at the wheel of the Free Mediterranean, said: “We were in international waters. The Israelis acted like pirates, completely out of the normal way that they conduct nautical exercises, and seized our ship. They took us hostage, pointing guns at our heads; they descended from helicopters and fired tear gas and bullets. There was absolutely nothing we could do … Those who tried to resist forming a human ring on the bridge were given electric shocks.”

By detaining the crew and pasengers of the boats – which is, of course, piracy on the high seas – the Israelis managed to get their lies out first, knowing that useful idiots such as you, Yorkshire, would swallow said lies whole.

  29. Yup, piracy. Had the civilians pulled out some guns and destroyed every last pirate and pirate vehicle, they would have been completely within their rights by international law. Absolutely without blame, by any civilized standard.

So don’t tell me how lethal a crowbar is.

  30. Tweedledum:

“By detaining the crew and pasengers of the boats – which is, of course, piracy on the high seas …”

    Tweedledee:

    Yup, piracy.

    Cornell University Law School:

“Piracy is when non-state actors commit war-like acts against ships.”

    The libs favorite, Wiki:

Piracy is a war-like act committed by private parties (not affiliated with any government) that engage in acts of robbery and/or criminal violence at sea…”

    and continuing …

    UNCLOS Article 101: Definition

In the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) of 1982, “maritime piracy” consists of:

    (a) any illegal acts of violence or detention, or any act of depredation, committed for private ends by the crew or the passengers of a private ship or a private aircraft, and directed:

    (i) on the high seas, against another ship or aircraft, or against persons or property on board such ship or aircraft;
    (ii) against a ship, aircraft, persons or property in a place outside the jurisdiction of any State;

    (b) any act of voluntary participation in the operation of a ship or of an aircraft with knowledge of facts making it a pirate ship or aircraft;
    (c) any act of inciting or of intentionally facilitating an act described in subparagraph (a) or (b).[108]

    IMB Definition

The International Maritime Bureau (IMB) defines piracy as:

the act of boarding any vessel with an intent to commit theft or any other crime, and with an intent or capacity to use force in furtherance of that act”

Of course as far as progressives are concerned definitions vary with the need they feel.

For example, tuning them out is exclusion; which is “eliminationism”; which is “social cleansing”; which is “genocide”; which is a crime against “humanity”; which is itself representational of the individual “human person”; who is inviolable it his status as a bearer of “natural rights”; except that he has no such thing natural rights; and, his rights as conventions, mean only what the progressive shit-sacks of the left are willing say they mean at any given time or circumstance.

But you can trust them to keep their agreements all the same. After all, they love mankind, and only want to do good to it.

  31. “Piracy is when non-state actors commit war-like acts against ships.”

Very good – change to “which is, of course, an act of war against Turkey” then…

  32. Phoenician in a time of Romans:
“Piracy is when non-state actors commit war-like acts against ships.”

Very good – change to “which is, of course, an act of war against Turkey” then…

    ……. it’s not a Turkish Flagged Ship. So…………….

MV Mavi Marmara leaving Antalya for Gaza on May 22, 2010
    Name: MV Mavi Marmara
    Homeport: Moroni, Comoros
MV Mavi Marmara (English: Blue Marmara, where MV = motor vessel) is a Comoros-flagged passenger ship, which was formerly owned and operated by ?DO Istanbul Fast Ferries Co. Inc. on the line Sarayburnu, Istanbul-Marmara Island-Av?a Island in the Sea of Marmara. Built at the Golden Gate Shipyard by Turkish Shipbuilding Co. in 1994, the ship has a capacity of 1,080 passengers.[6]

  33. Hmm, so next time you’re in international waters and motor launches and helicopters open fire on you, just put away your weapons and say to yourself, “Oh, this must be the act of a sovereign nation.”

Take the identities out of this story, and conservatives would flip-flop in an instant. Imagine a humanitarian disaster in North Korea, with a ship of do-gooders steaming in to help, with the exact same result. Of course, you’d laugh at the stupidity of the conservatives on that ship… (you know… liberals never give to charity, right?) but you’d be clamoring for war, anyway.

Slightly more than you already clamor, that is. Might not be noticeable, actually, now that I think about it.

  34. Imagine a humanitarian disaster in North Korea, with a ship of do-gooders steaming in to help, with the exact same result.

I would imagine if North Korean commandos killed an American citizen on the high seas, there would be bombs falling within a week.

However, wingnuts are fine with Israel murdering American citizens. They’re not really very patriotic – at least, not for the US.
